Raw energy; light, sound, electricity and fire. . .
These are not shapeless abstracts without will. It is their will that shapes the world we live in. They form the atoms we are made of. They echo the beginning of the universe throughout itself until the end of it all. Microcosmic macrocosms relay to us the holographic nature of the fractal they've created which we call existence.

This will has been given so many names. For every dialect of every animal that vocalizes, this will has been named. To list only a few: God, Science, Uzen, Tirawah, Waken Tanka, Olorun, Alodemare, Alah, Jehova, El, Manole, El Shaddai, Adonai, Theotes, I AM, Immanuel, Melekh, Tsur, Bhagwan, īśvar, Waheguru. . .

To witness the will of this force of will is to be it. To be will is without witness. Perhaps a glimpse, a small spark simplified, amplified and personified can hint to us some truth of the fierce and beautiful image we were create to exist within.

Back in September 2009, *Blackscarab333 and I did some blacklight painting on Milena and followed it up with a photoshoot. I've been sitting on these pics for a little while. Earlier today(January 14, 2010) it just hit me. . . I saw what I wanted the piece to look like in that recess of my mind where such things happen. So I tore through my photos picked the ones I liked dumped em into photoshop and got to work. I didn't spend as much time on this one as I normally like to, but honestly I got it to a point where I just didn't think it needed anything else. So I called it done. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it!

Most of the fire in this piece is from photos of various camp fires that I made,
but I did use some fire in the foreground from the awesome library of:
*Tasastock


Other than that, =JayelDraco photographed all of the background elements used in this piece.

I do find that when possible, photographing ones own elements for a photo-manipulation,
greatly improves ones ability to control the result.

TIP:When compositing fire into a photomanipulation, playing with the levels to get the background pure black but keep the flames bright will give you the ability to use the fire photo layer as a "dodge" or "screen" layer. . . it's allot easier than trying to cut the fire out with an eraser tool, which is nearly impossible to pull off well.
